Corporate Social Responsibility has been described as the “intelligent and objective concern for the welfare of society where such concern restrains corporations from behaviour and activities that are ultimately destructive, no matter how immediately profitable such behaviour or activities might be, and that such concern additionally leads firms to making a positive contribution to human betterment.”

(a) Describe any two areas of concern in which firms who have practised Corporate Social Responsibility have been involved.

(b) What arguments would you advance in support of Corporate Social Responsibility? (20 marks)
