Draft a policy proposal to resolve intractable regional issues in the Northeast Asia. You should adopt the perspective of an independent third-party mediator and not  particular  national  government. Some  of  these  issues  include  the  Korean Peninsula (North Korea’s nuclear program and brinkmanship), territorial disputes involving Japan and its  neighbors,  the  history  problem(perceptions  that  Japan  lacks  contrition  over  its  past conquest of Asia), and terrorism. Select an issue and, based on your knowledge acquired from the course, write a creative yet practical proposal to resolve it.The issue you choose to  write  about  doesn’t  have  to  be  one  we  examine  specifically  in  class.  You  can  select any issue as long as it relates broadly to the international relations of Northeast Asia.
